Cotswold Tours

The Cotswolds are named as the second largest areas of outstanding natural beauty in England and the area has thousands of visitors every year who come to experience the stunning beauty of the area. The Cotswold hills are famous as the gentle rolling countryside, the lush green grass and the beautiful rivers that run through it. The North Cotswolds is a picturesque area with many pretty market towns, charming villages and tiny hamlets that nestle in the Cotswold hills. Visitors staying in London regularly visit the Cotswolds to get a real sense of English countryside at its best, and it doesn’t seem to matter what time of year you come, the Cotswolds remain beautiful, unspoilt and breath-taking. In spring, you will see the lambs jumping across the Cotswold hills, beautiful banks full of thick daffodils and the trees budding enthusiastically. Even in winter, the Cotswolds is stunning with thatched cottages embellishing cosiness with their wood burning fires. Summer in the Cotswolds is beautiful and there always seems to be an air of calm in the sunshine amongst the beautiful Cotswold views. In autumn, you will see millions of colours on the trees from green, yellow, orange, red and brown and public tourist places like Batsford Arboretum is a wonderful experience at this time of year.

The north Cotswolds are famous for their charming chocolate box villages with thatched cottages, wood burning fires and quaint village greens that flourish when children are playing in the summer. Cotswold market towns are constructed from the famous honey-coloured Cotswold stone, and every town has a market square as the focal point. The Cotswold market squares were once where sheep farmers regularly came to trade their flocks of Cotswold sheep. The Cotswold area was once famous for being one of the largest suppliers towards the English wool trade but since the cloth trade moved to the North of England, the Cotswolds has remained underdeveloped and peaceful.
