We welcome visitors from all around the world. And many of them are based in London when they visit the UK.
That’s why we make it easy for you to enjoy your Cotswolds tour by train from London with us.
Honestly, it couldn’t be more straight forward.
To begin with, we pick you up from Moreton-In-Marsh station; right in the heart of the Cotswolds, so you can begin your tour straight away.
Our visitors arrive refreshed and relaxed, having boarded a train at PADDINGTON-London. The trip is only 1 hour 40 minutes; long enough for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery, but not so long you feel worn out.
Once we’ve collected you, you can relax and leave everything to us. We’ll sort out the food and all the driving; leaving you to focus on your day.
We begin with pastries and coffee back at my house. And it’s not any old ordinary house, either! My home boasts a number of traditional features – inside everything is old and quaint, there are three inglenook fireplaces which are open log fires used to heat the cottage, the winding stairs and floors are made from original elm planks and the heavily beamed listed cottage is nearly 500 years old!
After that, we’ll take you to some breath taking scenery. You’ve heard about the rolling hills and honey-coloured buildings that the Cotswolds are famous for; well now you’ll get to see them. We take you off the beaten track to some of the more unusual and best kept secrets of the area – all discovered through living here and raising our family for the past 25 years.
Once you’ve built up an appetite, it’s back to Secret Cottage for a generous buffet lunch. Our visitors can’t believe their eyes when they see everything laid out for them. As many of them advise others – make sure you arrive hungry! Depending on the time of year, you can enjoy your food in front of the open fire, or in our small garden, amongst the flowers and trees.
In the afternoon you’ll get to experience more picturesque scenes before coming back to the house for a traditional English cream tea. The scones are freshly baked in the Aga and I guarantee you’ll love them. There is plenty of tea to be enjoyed, all served on the finest Spode bone china.
At the end of the day, we’ll drop you back off to Moreton-In-Marsh for you to catch your train. By early evening you’ll be back at your hotel ready to enjoy the evening in London!
So you see, booking and enjoying a Cotswolds tour by train from London couldn’t be simpler! Just hop on the train and we’ll pick you up and take care of you for the day.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
