We welcomed a very special guest to Secret Cottage over the Easter weekend!
Ainy Jaffri, Pakistani actress and model, was staying in London with her husband, Faris Rahman, and discovered our Cotswolds tour on the internet. She was looking for a great day trip from London, Paddington, and Secret Cottage provided just what she was looking for.
Ainy won “Best Female Model” of the year in 2010 and was nominated for Best Debut and Best Supporting Actress at the ARY Film Awards. She’s recently provided a voice over for Jiya – the main character in Pakistan’s first super hero cartoon; “Burka Avenger.”
Ainy absolutely loved her guided tour and said it was “One of the best trips I’ve ever been on.” She particularly loved the fact we treat our guests as locals and invite them inside our English country cottage.
Although Ainy enjoys the high life in places like New York, she loved the peaceful Cotswolds countryside and slower pace of life for a while. Being a model and actress is demanding and walking around the streets of London means Ainy gets recognised and asked for photos and autographs; which means she rarely gets a moment to herself.
We were able to provide her with breath taking scenery and a day away from it all where she could relax and unwind. During the day we invite our guests back to our cottage for morning coffee and pastries, a locally produced buffet lunch and traditional English cream tea – complete with scones made in our Aga.
Throughout the day we take them on a guided tour of the stunning North Cotswolds, to places well off the beaten track and not visited by many. We take care of all the driving so you don’t have to fathom your way down unfamiliar winding lanes and you don’t miss anything because we know the best places to take you!
