While we love running our Cotswold Tours, we enjoy a bit of travel ourselves.
We spend time reading travel blogs as they are so inspirational and give us lots of ideas for our bucket list!
Someone we’re following at the moment has a particular style we can relate to.
She’s all about travelling in comfort!
While we don’t mind roughing it a little, we do love our creature comforts too and Emily from the Cosy Traveller has the art of travelling with cosiness down to a tee.
Emily, who caught the travelling bug at 19, describes herself as an animal-loving, tea-drinking travel obsessive. She’s on a mission to show us that you can fulfil your travel dreams while holding down a full-time job. And she encourages people to make the most of their annual leave, either through day/weekend trips, or holidays further afield.
Oh, but she has to travel in COMFORT!
Emily is a full time copywriter in London and while she’s not penning words she’s day dreaming about her next travel adventure. At university she worked weekends to build a travel fund – even on a student budget her travel list is impressive! She climbed the Empire State Building in New York and bathed in the Blue Lagoon in Reykjavik.
So what’s all this about comfort and cosiness?
When she’s at home, it’s not unusual to find Emily wrapped up in a bed with a cup of tea in her hand and a few cats purring contentedly at her side. And if she can find a trip that incorporates these three things she’s in heaven! I imagine she’s the sort of girl that doesn’t go far without a travel pillow, pair of cosy pyjamas and her favourite book.
What we admire about Emily is her enthusiasm to travel, whatever her financial situation. She’s already seen some amazing places as a student and now she’ll take on extra work and commit to small actions such as selling things she no longer needs and making packed lunches rather than buying take-out so she can put money into her travel fund. And if she hasn’t got enough to go abroad she’ll make the most of short trips across England
In 2014 she visited Stonehenge, Athens, Bruges and Amsterdam – where she got to visit a boat load of cats – literally!
During 2015 she has some amazing locations on her wishlist – Croatia, the Caribbean, Marrakesh, Las Vegas and our favourite place of all – The Cotswolds!
How could we resist the opportunity to show this seasoned traveller around? We’re delighted that we’ll be seeing Emily later in the year and taking her on one of our unique Cotswold Tours. Our tour is perfect for the busy person who wants to experience a little luxury as it’s a day trip from LONDON-Paddington and you’ll be able to return in time to go out for the evening. We think Emily will love it and with our cosy chairs by the inglenook fireplace she’ll feel right at home!
