I don’t know about you, but I find it a challenge to figure out which holiday experiences are going to be the best, and which are all hype.
With the internet you’d think things would be easier; and sometimes they are, but you’ve also got so much more choice which can be confusing and overwhelming.
Added to which, a great website can make you look like a fully functioning large business, when really you’re running the show from a spare bedroom!
I’ve travelled the world a lot and here are some of my tips for making sure you find the best Cotswold bus Tour for you:
Word of Mouth
Most of our business comes from word of mouth, and I personally find it one of the safest ways to get a good recommendation.
Our guests love exploring our cottage, as well as some fantastic Cotswold sightseeing and they go home having had great food, a good laugh and some wonderful memories.
This means they’re only too happy to recommend us to their friends. So why not ask people you trust about the holidays and experiences they loved the most?
Trip Advisor
Trip Advisor is a great way to find impartial reviews from customers. Reviewers can add a rating and can even upload photos.
We’re thrilled to be number two for activities in the Cotswolds and number one for Moreton-In-Marsh.
It’s well worth a read to find inspiration and get impartial information.
Tourist Information Centres
Tourist information centres provide a wealth of local knowledge with skilled advisors who can tailor ideas to your requirements.
You’ll find leaflets, booklets, and even interactive media such as videos to help you make your choice.
Throughout the UK you’ll find a network of Tourist Information Centres run by the British Tourist Authority.
Web searches
Although it can be overwhelming, Google is a great place to start when looking for the visitor experience you are looking for.
Type in some keywords – for example “Cotswold Driving Tour” – and see which sites are coming up on the first four or so pages.
You can get a feel for whether the site looks professional, has been updated recently and if it is easy to contact the person running the business.
Social media
By following hashtags on social media you can find some real treasures!
Log into Twitter and search for something like #Cotswolds and see what comes up in the Twitter stream.
You might find some real surprises that you weren’t anticipating and it gives you the chance to connect with people who are interested in the same things as you.
I hope this has helped with some ideas of how to find the best experience for you.
And don’t forget – if you’re looking for a number Cotswold Bus Tour, get in contact. We’d love to show you around!
